Technobabble For The Win
Where can I find some subsonic ink? All my notes are written in ordinary ink, and they are just so noisy! If they were written with subsonic ink maybe I could ignore them.

This post brought to you by a line in Arrow about a document written in "... sub-sonic, ultra-violet invisible ink."

Ahhh... this is just like the "baryon sweep" in that episode of TNG! Yeah, sure, sweep the ship cleaning out and destroying all baryons. Oh, wait, protons and neutrons, 2 out of 3 of the basic building blocks of atoms, are baryons? Oops!

Subsonic is anything traveling slower than the speed of sound in a given media. Since ink tends to stay put - very low velocity, yeah - it's all by definition subsonic.

I've got to think that these writers have a hat somewhere, filled with strips of paper that have scientific terms on them. And when they need technobabble, they pull one out at random. After all, sticking within the realm of real science would be too limiting.
