I swung by the SDCC Hotels page to update some information (names of who is in what room -- don't panic!) and noticed that the reservation system is open again. They list some 20-odd hotels, including the Hilton Bayfront and Marriott. This is a shorter list than usual, and, for example, the Horton isn't listed. I guess this is how they're dealing with cancellations?

Maybe have someone sign up at the super close one and see?

That's... odd. In the past I thought they'd sent out notifications via email when reservations opened up again. I haven't seen anything for it, though admittedly I haven't checked my spam filter. I haven't kept up with twitter the past few weeks because I was behind on SPN and trying to avoid spoilers.

Huh. So I guess this would raise the question of whether to move? Hilton was higher on many people's lists. OTOH, we already have the Manchester, it's an ok distance, and it would be convenient if they have next year's reg there again. *shrug* I'm tempted to vote for keeping what we have, but will go with majority opinion.

I figure we might as well stay where we're at. It's close enough, and if they do the same thing with getting tickets for next year as they did this, it'll be convenient to be in our current hotel.
