Turns out the totally torqued the lugs wrong too. Two of them were barely more than finger tight. (Eeep!! Glad I checked!) The majority of them were seriously over-torqued. This is a combination that warps brake rotors and leads to several hundred dollar brake jobs. "Displeased" does not even begin to cover my thoughts regarding their work.
All has been reset to the prescribed 80 lbs/foot, but a couple of someones are going to get a piece of my mind. Wrong tire pressures are a safety hazard, but are nothing compared to finger-tight lug nuts.
I say again: As you value your safety, avoid the Big O Tires on El Camino in Santa Clara.
