Python Pest Control
Mainly for fresne, though I think others might be entertained by at least the news article.

Burmese pythons + Canadian geese = happiness. It's a thought.

Many thanks to lucifie for pointing out the impending python threat heading slooooowly my way.

:O How scary! At 20 miles/month and still one managed to get 100 miles. But I agree with the stupid pet owners being the most likely reason. Or malicious people who read the article and think it'd be funny so go out and buy one just to release into the wild when it's old enough. But surely they wouldn't enter urban areas? *panic panic* As soon as 2020 comes around, I'm going to hide. Hm, although they mentioned the Sierras, maybe SF would also be uncomfortably cold for them.

Yeah, reptiles in SF are not going to be happy critters. I don't think this will pose a huge environmental (or personal) threat, somehow. Largely because I expect all pythons trying to cross the Southwest will wither up and die long before they get anywhere near the coast. They're not exactly adapted to deserts.

It's revenge for not telling her Subaru dropped out of the WRC. ;)

(Actually, it was an LJ post, so I kind of assumed she was telling you as well.)
