Gung-ho Tea

I've discovered lately that when I decide I like something new, I don't do it by halves. Take, for example, tea. At the beginning of the month I decided (for various reasons) I had to get over my not liking tea. So I did. Today I placed a $30 order for two types of tea I like that I can get in a sampler, but not en masse on their own. I think I've gone a bit nutso. (OTOH, I've also almost finished the first sampler box I got and think it makes more sense to buy the individual teas themselves rather than the sampler since it comes with one that I won't drink.)

This building up a huge tea collection reminds me of my ridiculously large incense collection, or my daunting, growing fabric collection. Usually I know the meaning of the word "restraint". Really, I do.

Unrelated... Perhaps I missed my calling in college as a math major. I say this because I periodically demonstrate a complete and utter lack of ability to do basic arithmetic. I've noticed math math majors in my acquaintance are really bad at arithmetic. I figure it's analogous to E.E. Cummings and grammar or something.

At any rate, for some reason in my head (though not, alas, in the real world) I think that if I go to bed at 10:30 and wake up at 5:30 that I get 8 hours of sleep. Nice theory, but probably explains why I've been feeling so tired for the past few weeks.

Also unrelated, I'm finding lately there are frequent nights when I don't turn my computer one. I think it's from still trying to balance out longer commute + new job or something. Anyway, that's why it looks like I've fallen off the face of the earth. And my phone persists in having problems ringing. Not sure what the deal is, but I'm getting frequent cases where it doesn't ring, just dumps people to voice jail. Somewhat puzzling.
