Bonk and Bonk
Upon finding out that Oshima Michiru is doing the music for this year's Taiga drama, Tenchijin I googled off to verify that she is who I think she is. (She is; she did the music for Weathering Continent and the anime for Hana Yori Dango).

I scanned through her other credits only to discover that she also did the music for Godzilla vs. Mecha Godzilla along with a couple of other Godzilla films. *twitch*

And on bonk of a different kind, I was feeling energetic when I got home today so I took a sledgehammer to the BBQ grill in the back yard. As I had hoped, it's not solid brick. It's got an outer layer of brick surrounding dirt. Which means with a little care I've been able to save the blue-green tiles on the top that I like. I'm going to need someone to help me lift that piece off, but otherwise it's intact.

This also means that I should be able to save some of the bricks once I get all the dirt dug out. Which is cool, since they're perfectly fine bricks, I just have no need for them.

I am now confident that I can at least get the BBQ out by neighborhood cleanup in March, and might even be able to get most of the patio out as well.

Remind me to whip it out for you next time you're in town. *eg*

Oddly enough, we watched Weathering Continent again tonight. It still remains one of my favorites for the very evocative mood it projects. The music is a very strong part of that.

By the way, there's two music CDs for Weathering Continent. Was the second one a drama disk or the like?

You don't want the BBQ grill? But isn't BBQ-ing the All-American pastime?

So's baseball but I don't see here putting a field in her backyard... unless a mysterious disembodied voice has started talking to her, then all bets are off.

Maybe, but the grill I have isn't particularly effective, and breaks up the yard unpleasantly. I figure that if I want to BBQ, I'll be better served to pick up one of those portable ones and put it somewhere that isn't right next to an overhang that's connected to the house.
