I also managed to figure out how to thread the sewing machine! Yay! Let the projects commence!
There was snow on Mt. Hamilton when I went out this afternoon. Very, very pretty, and I'm glad I got to see it.
Other than that, I had a cursed trip to the gym. When I got there the parking lot was completely full and I had to park across the street. Oh well, the extra walk is good for me. (And wasn't as terribly cold as I feared, for all that I was only wearing a t-shirt and light gym pants.) But the power kept flickering on and off, and nine minutes into my workout it died completely and they shut the gym down. Bummer. Clearly the not being able to find a parking space was A Sign.
I then went and paid less than $2/gallon for gas. My brain still can't entirely parse numbers like that. I don't think I've ever paid that little to fill up this car. I'm pretty sure prices were stuck over $2.50 a gallon long before I got my Acura.
Tomorrow I get to get through my "personal job councilling session" with EDD, which will be a load off my mind. I have certainly been looking for another job, but at the moment it's hard to prove results. Then again, job hunting in general is hard to prove results since it's either at 0% or 100%. The middle ground is otherwise all in one's head.
Oh, and the weather was beautiful, if schizo. Clear, then cloudy and raining, then grey but calm, then clear but raining... It was nice to be able to sit and watch the rain come down for once, rather than having to rush about with all the stuff that life usually throws up while contending with the rain.
