A Strange and Pleasant Sensation
I'm... cold. After a week long heat wave, this is a pleasant yet foreign sensation.

Spent the day being a complete hermit, and loved it. There's been too many unpleasant things in my life lately, so I was due for some quiet time.

I discovered that paint stripping is not as much fun as it sounds. (And if anyone thinks that it sounds fun, I'd like to invite them to a party at my house...) The stuff I've got really does remove all the layers of paint on the wall, though. I'm going to have a lot of bare wood by the time I get done. Fortunately I have a can of primer all set and ready for when the walls are cleaned off.

I've confirmed that it's really not a good idea to put a high gloss latex paint on top of a high gloss latex paint without using primer or sanding the surface first. Not if one wants to have the paint stay on the wall and not peel off in sheets like skin after a really bad sunburn. The paint peels off in sheets. Which is nice, since I want the paint off.

The master bedroom and bath look absolutely horrific right now. Which is, in an odd way, great progress.

I got in some cooking, some laundry, some subbing work, and a whole lot of loafing. Life am good.

well, if certain things go certain ways, you might have a new resident who likes stripping paint! XD *gigglesnort*

Mmm, I'm kind of thinking the paint stripping (and subsequent painting) needs to happen first. It's really inconvenient painting a room one is trying to live in.
