I hope it can be repaired, but it needs to be taken away from the twat who was driving it.

No matter how good the car is, 100 mph in rain is excessive. And anyone who's going to treat a fine piece of machinery as carelessly as that (not to mention any one he could have hit) ought to be driving a Yugo.

I think the article said it was being rented to the idiot who crashed it. Who should be thrown in jail for destroying a work of art.

Yeah, I agree. 100 MPH in the rain = mind bogglingly stupid. I don't think even Seb on a tarmac event gets that fast in the wet. And the idiot who crashed is certainly not the driver that Seb is.

The chance of repair on a car that expensive isn't good - it'll probably get used for parts. Discovered that the car actually costs about 3 million to make and it's sold at about a $2 million loss, it might technically be cheaper for the company to repair it, but it would probably be cheaper for the owner to buy a new one.
