Oh, for anyone following the rabid fangirls' journals and being confused on the spelling, the official spelling of the series is Ultraman Moebius. I am lazy and have trouble spelling "Moebius" without thinking about it, so I use the Japanese spelling of "Mebius". (Two less letters to type, all good, yeah?)
Oddly enough, I actually don't have a lot to say. While important, this episode lacked the build up and emotional impact of the last episode (which I still think is the best one to date.) It also followed the standard toku/shounen tropes, which lack a certain depth. ("Oh yeah, I promised everyone I wouldn't die. I wouldn't want to break a promise, so I will stop being dead, stand up, get nifty new power up, and destroy the monster. Don't ask me why I didn't think of doing this earlier.") So... I think what I'm saying is that I had too high expectations, and they were not necessarily met.
Still, some interesting stuff in this. There are a couple of bits I am going to have to review again to make sure I got all the details.
And the matching phones was just waaaaay too cute. Indescribably too cute, really.
Off to finish up a bit more research and then try to knock out some subtitling.
