Mmmm... Turned out pretty good.
The recipie:
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup fat free half and half (don't think too hard about it)
1/2 cup fat free milk
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tablets of Mexican hot chocolate
This is based off of the Ben's chocolate recipie. Leave out the sugar, there's no need for it, since the chocolate is sweetened already.
I took half of one of the tables of chocolate, pounded it into little bits and added it to the ice cream just before it was finished freezing. I thought it would give a bit more of a taste of the chocolate. Instead, it ends up that I'm chewing on bits of chocolate all the time. Not quite the effect I was going for. Next time I'll just add the chocolate into the mix since I think it will add more flavor that way.
*is tempted to go eat more*
No more experiments for a while. I still have lots of the pumpkin left, as well as a bit of the chocolate mint. And, of course, the Mexican hot chocolate.
