Speaking of translating Japanese, I found Rikai-chan, a Firefox extension that will pop up a definition for a Japanese word when you hover the mouse over it. I haven't played with it much yet, but so far it looks like it might be handy.
In cranky news, I got my laptop back, but it still doesn't work. I can't tell if the problem is that the new hard drive isn't mounting properly or if the nice folks at the repair shop just didn't bother putting an operating system back on after replacing the hard drive. Either way, I'm taking the laptop back to them tomorrow and make Unhappy Customer noises at them. I've already made Unhappy Customer noises at Toshiba's tech support, who were the people who refered me to this charming repair shop. They claim these guys are highly-rated. Considering that when I went to pick up the laptop they didn't even have my invoice written up and couldn't tell me what they had don't to my laptop when I asked them, I'm not entirely sure what they are highly rated at. So far it looks like they have a high "annoy the Sandpanther" rating. *sigh*
