For The Geeks

I'm looking for suggestions on web site hosting. My requirements at the moment are that it allow for my using ASP.Net pages and have at least one MySQL database. (More would be nice, but I can make do with one.) Additional benefits include: lots of disk space, and reasonably high bandwidth limitations. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations/"whatever you do stay away from THOSE people"/whatever?

In a similar vein, for those who have worked with MySQL, how different is it from other SQL databases? I have a lot of experience with a variety of SQL databases (SQL Server, Access, Informix, DB2, Oracle, and a couple of obscure critters), and am wondering if I actually need to pick up a book and do some studying before I start working with MySQL or if a little bit of playing around and using Google will be sufficient.

Also, anyone played around with RSS? I'm starting to think about messing around with that as well, and am not really sure where to start.

Many thanks for any light that can be shed or help that can be given.
