Link For Me

I have to remember to go here sometime. Conveniently, not only does the shrine itself possess great Nift value in and of itself -- being one of the rare ones that is dedicated to Susano-o-no-mikoto and Kushinada-hime (and, even more rare, being located outside of ancient Izumo) -- but it is also located on the former grounds ot Takasago Castle. Takasago City also gets to claim Miyamoto Musashi as one its most famous children, and there is a monument marking his birthplace.

Ah, the pitfalls of researching: it is just too easy to get distracted. I stumbled onto this link while reaserching the main deities enshrined at the Futara Shrine in Nikko. This shrine is located nearly 500 miles away, near Himeji.
