... In Kotobiki Park is a giant sand sculpture on the beach made to look like a coin and created overnight 350 years ago by peasants to wlecome the newlord to the district. Looking down from Kotobiki hill it appears circular, but this 2 m tall zeni-gata (coin-shaped) sand sculpture of 345 m cirecumference is actually oval, measuring 122 m up-down (east-west) by 90 m across (north-south) to compensate for viewers'paralax.
That is one freaking big sand sculpture. One freaking old, big sand sculpture. I must go see it. Directions to it can be found here.
