Fun With Computers
My new laptop appears to have developed a, er, quirk. I click the little "shut down" button and it looks like everything is shutting down. Then a minute later, the computer reboots. It's like the "shut down" button has been re-mapped to the "restart" button.

Has anyone heard of this or have any suggestions on what to look at to get it to knock it off? My system is Windows XP, and I have been running virus updates. (Not that it always helps...)

My sympathies - my laptop has problems, too. =/ It must be a laptop epidemic! It makes a really loud churning sound whenever I put it into Standby mode...
