Rally Japan

I'm not sure which I'm being more amused by: The foreigners' odd conceptions of Japan ("I'm scared of Japanese food, so we'll only eat at McDonalds!") or the Japanese folks' odd fascinations with all the foreigners ("Here's a picture of a group of foreigners standing at a stop light. Here is a group of foreigners walking down the street. There are so many foreigners!")


This is the first time the World Rally Championship has gone to Japan. And the place they are going to is very out of the way in Hokkaido. (Hokkaido itself being highly out of the way in the first place -- It's one of the few parts of Japan I've never been near. The closest I got was about 3 hours away by train from the furthest south tip of the island.)
