My Widdle Bwain


Finally got through this year's Kouhaku. Not as jaw-droppingly weird as some years, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. There was a lot of encouragement for the folks impacted by the March 11 disaster, all done in the usual Japanese "hang in there, we're behind you!" kind of way. Given that, I found the giant radiation symbols decorating the walls a little odd, considering. (You can sort of see it in the background of the first picture here.)

And hey, dude. Red won. Didn't see that one coming. Kind of get why Red Leader was crying -- I don't remember the last time that happened. I figured with Arashi leading the white team they were a guaranteed shoo-in.
