A Little Knowledge Is Not Always A Good Thing

I'm currently reading a series of Japanese books that take place in a variety of real places in Japan. (Mirage of Blaze, or just MoB.) Since said real places also tend to be tourist spots and since the author and I use similar selection criteria for vacation spots, I've been to about half of the places that show up.

Yeah, I'm Insane... In Case You Had Missed The Memo

Following up on my earlier post, it appears that there is only one hospital in Nikko. On the one hand, I almost have to wonder if I missed something, since Nikko has to have a population of over 30,000 in order to rate the "-shi" designation. On the other hand... Fundamentally, Nikko just isn't that big. I've always wondered where they are tucking all the people that they have 30,000 inside the city borders. 'Cause Nikko? Kinda small.

Just had to look that up. I'd be wondering about it all night otherwise. I'd say I need more hobbies, but considering that I treat all my hobbies with this same degree of completist zeal, I don't see where having more hobbies would help.
