Ghosts Of Coworkers Past

The Chihuahua-On-A-Stick was telling me today about someone who previously worked here. One day this person was in a meeting with folks from our various sites, including Puerto Rico. Apparently the coworker asked the guys from Puerto Rico if then knew where Puerto Rico came from.

There was a pause while everyone tried to figure out what this one guy was asking. Where Puerto Rico came from? Ummm...

This guy then proceeded to say that Puerto Rico was brought from the South Pacific through the Panama Canal.

The Chihuahua-On-A-Stick started laughing, since she thought this guy was joking.

He was serious.

Entertaining Odometer

Coming back from lunch I noticed the odometer on my car reads 101010.

"What a binary number," I thought, having a geek moment. The geek moment continued, and I decided to figure out what the number would be in decimal. The result?

42.

I think there's something deep and meaningful in that. Undoubtedly it's a sign that I need to not read deep and meaningful stuff into everything.
I'm Okay

(no subject)

So help me, if one more coworker decides that they absolutely must freak out at my for no apparent reason I am afraid that I am going to have to rip their still-beating heart out of their chest cavity. And then, because that would be unspeakably gross, I am going to have to throw their still-beating heart onto the ground and run to the bathroom to wash my hands. This would not be a pleasant scenario for anyone, so really, it would be best if everyone just took a deep breath and realized that the sky is not falling.

Thank you for your cooperation.
